Naviance (www.naviance.com) has a full-time opening for an
experienced, advanced level LAMP web developer in our Washington, DC
office. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record
delivering well-designed PHP code for web-based applications in
complex domains (especially workflow or CRM type systems). Developers
will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our core product
platform as well as developing new modules from the ground up. We
have a very complex, multi-faceted PHP application that provides a
lot of opportunity to use many different skills as a developer.
Desired background and skills include:
- Professional development on a real-world PHP application of
moderate complexity and/or high traffic
- PHP 5 and OO experience
- MySQL 4+
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
- Familiarity with basic Linux/Apache administration
- PHP command line scripting
- Subversion
- Test driven development
- Zend Platform and/or PHP configuration management
- Knowledge of database design and query optimization techniques
A plus if you have expertise in: web services, high volume PDF
processing, high volume email processing, network administration,
database administration, enterprise data munging, AJAX, JAVA, student
information systems
