The Product Development Manager will be responsible for the overall product
development strategy for this Internet based company and will identify and
integrate trends and emerging technologies, improve the speed of execution, and
deliver new and innovative tools to ensure the company remains at the forefront
of design, quality and functionality. The ideal candidate will be able to
analyze system, data and application requirements, as they relate to new
features or enhancements to existing features, as well as create and design an
implementation strategy to meet the requirements.
Ideally, the Product Development Manager will have a solid background
developing and implementing product development strategies, custom web
applications, and cutting edge web technology.
Requirements:
. Experience with hands-on development of custom web applications,
. Experience with e-commerce is a must.
. Experience with affiliate programs and/or online advertising applications
. Experience implementing web product development strategies
. Experience managing and growing development teams
. Project management experience
. Experience managing a budget
. Experience working closely with partners, internal design teams, and vendors
. Ability to incorporate a design focus throughout the development process
. Proficiency with technologies such as PHP, Perl, MySQL, XML-RPC and/or SOAP
Familiar with HTML, CSS, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, Apache and Linux web
environments.
. Experience working in a web hosting company preferred.
. Bachelor's degree in related field.
