Job description: New York City eCommerce company seeks a top-notch
e-Commerce Service Engineer to help in the design and implementation of
our e-commerce services. Must have outstanding skills in PHP and SQL. In
addition to excellent technical skills, the ideal candidate will also
have the following responsibilities:
- Gather and document technical and business requirements
- Design services using modern methodologies including SOA and Web Services
- Build and maintain web interface
This is a snapshot of our advanced technical environmemt:
- PHP 5
- OO system design
- OOP
- SOA
- Database design with ERD tools
- Web Services (SOAP and especially PHP implementations)
- Working knowledge of E-commerce payment solutions
Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and communicate status/problems to
appropriate personnel effectively
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of
technical staff and with non-technical managers and staff
- Ability to translate complex process objectives and business rules
into robust technical solutions
Work Experience:
- 2-5 years experience in OOP with PHP
- 2-3 years experience with system architecture with PHP or Java
- 2-5 years experience with database-driven, e-commerce application
development
- At least one year in a lead role (Project Manager, Tech Lead, Sr.
Developer, etc.)
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred
