Code and Theory is looking for enthusiastic, detail oriented software
engineers to join our team. As part of this team you will be
contribute to architecting, building, and troubleshooting cutting-edge
web applications and software. We need dedicated and meticulous
engineers that take great pride in delivering only the highest quality
work. As part of our team, you must be a fluent coder with a strong
understanding of OOP and design patterns. You also must possess strong
analytical and troubleshooting skills. Great communication with your
fellow team members is essential.
This role requires:
• Expertise in coding and troubleshooting systems ranging from small,
single server websites to large scale, distributed software systems.
• Experience architecting highly available web applications.
• Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Willingness and efficiency learning new programming languages
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong sense of ownership and
urgency, and a drive to over-deliver on projects
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience developing interactive, dynamic, data-driven,
highly available websites and software systems
• Expertise in one or more of the following: ActionScript 2/3, Java, C+
+, PHP
• Strong knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript (DHTML, AJAX, table-
less layouts are a plus)
• Working knowledge of the following is a plus: Perl, Python, Ruby on
Rails
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux is a plus
• Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Experience leading and architecting projects is a plus
• A proven track record of delivering quality software projects on time
• Willingness and ability to handle requests outside of your core
responsibilities and be team player
