PHP 5 Developer, NYC | 80-100k 

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in New York City
paying $80,000-100,000 + benefits.  No telecommuting allowed.  US
Citizens, Green Card holders or EAD only please.  Local candidates only.

My client is a medium-sized internet media company. They are the leading
online publisher of editor-screened travel deals and destination guides.
Their website receives over 2 million unique visitors per month and
their weekly Top 25 e-newsletter has over 4 million subscribers. 

The developer's role in the firm is a critical one. You will play an
integral part in helping to develop new products, improve existing ones,
and contribute to the firm's efforts to revolutionize the way in which
consumer's research, plan, and book travel. You will provide critical
creative input to all that they publish and new tools that they launch.

Qualifications: 
* In-depth knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies. 
* Advanced understanding of PHP 5, object-oriented design principles,
and database design. 
* Expert understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the DOM (AJAX). 
* Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus. 
* Experience with test driven development is a plus. 
* Love of open source development and standards-based development. 
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail. 
* Able to multi-task and project manage well. 

Compensation/Benefits: 
* Compensation is competitive; depends on experience. 
* 3 weeks vacation (rises to 4 after 5 years); 401 K; Medical.
