Small marketing agency of 20 people based in New York City loft space 
specializing in integrated marketing communications seeks a programming 
professional for a web developer position. 


The candidate must have a minimum of two years experience leading complex web 
initiatives or comparable educational background. Their work must demonstrate 
strategic and innovative thinking, understanding of back-end PHP and SQL 
technologies and grasp of front-end HTML/CSS. Project initiative and team 
player skills are both necessary to be successful in this position. 

This role: 
1. Demands research and integration of emerging technologies into current 
processes and systems.
2. Involves brainstorming / researching, conceptualizing, 
architecting/designing/creating and evaluating solutions and prototypes for 
sophisticated, dynamic websites that meet a wide variety of client 
communication needs. 
3. The position is an in-house position only, located at our New York City 
address.
4. The new person would be joining an existing team of web developers, graphic 
designers and project managers 


Skills:
At least 2 years experience on website development projects
6 months to one year experience working in PHP, MySQL
Experience working with content management systems, database integration and 
relational database design 
Knowledge of jQuery, mooTools and general Javascript frameworks, in that order
Attention to detail when translating Photoshop flats into validated code
Takes the initiative to correct errors, improve workflows and communicate
Fluency with MAC OS X and PC environments
Client contact skills

Bonus
ASP, ASPX, and MS-SQL
Object Oriented Programming
Desire to learn and apply new technologies on the job


This is a fulltime role in our office only (do not apply if the circumstances 
are not right for you). A fulltime position with 3 weeks vacation and benefits 
(Oxford Health, Guardian Dental, TransitChek, performance bonus eligibility) 
will be considered after successful completion of a 12-week probation period.
