Web Developers- 3 positions available (contract or full time)
LimeWire seeks several exceptional WEB DEVELOPERS to join our team of close to
100 employees. The ideal candidates will be innovative, self-motivated, a
quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving
existing abilities. In this position, you will work closely with teammates to
build and maintain (among other things) LimeWire.com, a site receiving millions
of unique visitors per day. This is a mid to senior-level development position
but all are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside talented developers to enhance and maintain LAMP-based
production site (LimeWire.com)
* Participate in (and sometimes lead) the technical planning, architecture
and development of new features and systems
* Improve analytics (WebTrends, Google Analytics, homegrown)
* Enhance and maintain system scripts using PHP and Perl
* Mine massive databases and logs to discover meaningful information and
trends (MySQL, grep, sed, awk, etc.)
* Manage installations of Drupal, WordPress, and MediaWiki
Requirements
* Primary focus: PHP, Drupal, MySQL, Apache, Linux
* Broad range of software development experience
* Ability and desire to work in high-traffic production environment
* Experience developing structured PHP applications and systems
* Experience with OO PHP development using frameworks and patterns
* Strong database skills (theory, architecture, development, optimization)
* Experience working with open source technologies
* Ability to use the command line efficiently
