Hi! Affinitive, a pioneer in the social marketing/technology space, is seeking a solid Software Engineer to work with our team - while initially a short-term, contract-based project there is the opportunity for things to evolve into a more permanent/full-time role if we find the right person.
For the project at hand, you will: • Lead the development of a LAMP-based social application (will run as a Facebook application and use modern technologies/frameworks/APIs) • Collaborate on the software architecture with the VP of Engineering and other members of development team • Effectively leverage existing code and frameworks for rapid development • Utilize test-driven design to ensure code quality And please possess the following skills/qualities: • Strong experience coding object-oriented PHP • Proven experience working with Facebook's APIs (Graph API, Javascript SDK) and developing large-scale Facebook applications -- especially understanding various quirk/limitation of working within a Page tab versus canvas pages, etc. • Strong experience with Javascript, jQuery, and JSON • Knowledge of a modern framework (Lithium, Zend Framework 2.0, FLOW3, FF3, etc) • Knowledge of "NoSQL" databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc) as well as strong relational database knowledge • Experience with memcache and APC • Design/UX capabilities are a plus • Ability to work with a distributed team and use Git version control • Ability to work on-site at our NYC office is a plus, but we will consider quality remote developers (US ONLY) with proven experience and references Still interested?
