Hi! Affinitive, a pioneer in the social marketing/technology space, is seeking
a solid Software Engineer to work with our team - while initially a short-term,
contract-based project there is the opportunity for things to evolve into a
more permanent/full-time role if we find the right person.

For the project at hand, you will:
• Lead the development of a LAMP-based social application (will run as a
Facebook application and use modern technologies/frameworks/APIs)
• Collaborate on the software architecture with the VP of Engineering and other
members of development team
• Effectively leverage existing code and frameworks for rapid development
• Utilize test-driven design to ensure code quality

And please possess the following skills/qualities:
• Strong experience coding object-oriented PHP
• Proven experience working with Facebook's APIs (Graph API, Javascript SDK)
and developing large-scale Facebook applications -- especially understanding
various quirk/limitation of working within a Page tab versus canvas pages, etc.
• Strong experience with Javascript, jQuery, and JSON
• Knowledge of a modern framework (Lithium, Zend Framework 2.0, FLOW3, FF3, etc)
• Knowledge of "NoSQL" databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc) as well as strong
relational database knowledge
• Experience with memcache and APC
• Design/UX capabilities are a plus
• Ability to work with a distributed team and use Git version control
• Ability to work on-site at our NYC office is a plus, but we will consider
quality remote developers (US ONLY) with proven experience and references

Still interested? Great! Please email your resume/cover letter, links to
relevant work/code samples and availability/rate, with the subject line reading
"Software Engineer" to [email protected] . Please, NO RECRUITERS or
agencies.
