HI Mitch, I don't think you need much effort to do it. Lithium has some work in progress to integrate with Doctrine ODM package. This means that by simply installing the plugin you'll be able to use Doctrine ODM for MongoDB inside your Lithium install.
It's a heads up for you to not spend a lot of money to reinvent the wheel. =) Good luck with your opening candidates!
