CollegeHumor is seeking ambitious, 
well-rounded PHP engineers. 
You need to think like a user, be passionate about coding and excited to
 build and iterate features that impact millions of people. You will 
work with our small talented team of developers on a number of large 
high profile websites which include: CollegeHumor, Bustedtees, 
TodaysBIGthing, SportsPickle, Dorkly as well as contribute to a number 
of internal tools and services. Collectively our sites reach over 15 
million users every month. 
Responsibilities:
 * Implement and iterate on new and existing features
 * Get your hands dirty playing with framework level code
 * Profile and optimize code and queries for performance
 * Work closely with our engineering team to build and scale back-end services
 * Contribute to product design and implementation discussions
                                
                        
                

                
                        


                                                
                                
                                        Desired Skills:
 * Fluency in PHP 5, MySQL and the LAMP stack
 * Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
 * Experience working on high volume websites
 * Expertise with MVC methodologies
 * Caching / Scaling (Memcached, APC, etc.)
 * Thorough understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS and XML
 * A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies 
 Bonus Points:
 * NoSQL, MongoDB
 * Experience with Scribe Server and NGINX
 * Experience with SPL
 * E-commerce, credit card authorization, and billing feature experience
 * Linux or Solaris experience
 * jQuery or Prototype
 * Experience building scalable frameworks
