Job Description We're hiring at Mobcaster for a Lead Developer. Mobcaster is the first and only crowd-funded marketplace for independent television. Mobcaster combines a crowd-funding platform and a market-curated online television channel to create the only destination to find and watch original, independent TV shows. You will be joining a small, fast moving team. With an emphasis on forward thinking innovation and a fun start-up culture, the position will have ample opportunity for growth and involvement in many key aspects of the company's operations. Skills & Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of professional PHP experience (able to write a web application from scratch in PHP & HTML/CSS/_javascript_) - Symfony2 experience ideal 2+ years experience with MySQL and database design Examples of fully built web application(s) Experience in server monitoring, performance, and maintenance in a cloud environment (Rackspace/Amazon) Be located in the Greater NYC Tri State Area. No relocation offered Applicants must work well in a collaborative working environment and actively encourage and spearhead new ideas. They should have a preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies and be able to communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and in person. Responsibilities: Review, support and develop new web applications, features, and functionality Monitor overall site performance, stability, and health Identify and solve compatibility issues Implement front-end UI for web applications Work closely with back-end team to profile and optimize code Work closely with clients, QA testing and support Salary is competitive with industry standards.
