Senior Software Engineer Logicworks, an established NYC-based, leading provider of enterprise hosting and cloud computing solutions provider in growth mode is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer will provide full life cycle software and system development in support of Logicworks' internal and client facing software applications and system integration projects. As a senior developer, this person will perform as a key contributor in a collaborative team of system architects, network operations engineers, product managers, and other internal and outsourced developers. Job Description Primary Responsibilities * Maintain and extend internally developed integrated inventory management, CRM, and ticketing system (PHP, jQuery, Postgres) * Interface with product development teams and develop solutions integrating new product requirements into existing systems * Integrate new third party applications and external third-party partner solutions with existing systems * Independently architect and develop interfaces and logic for inward and outward facing services and APIs * Optimize internal applications for speed and high-availability * Keep abreast of the latest Open Source technologies and apply them where warranted Candidate Requirements: * Bachelors Degree from an accredited four year college or university in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent experience * Must have good web design skills * Must be skilled in PHP, jQuery, DHTML/CSS, designing/working with MVC frameworks, and Postgresql * Perl, Python, NoSQL, and/or Scala are a plus * 5+ years experience developing in Linux/Unix environments, at least 3 years of related experience with specifically mentioned languages and technologies * Must be a team player committed to helping a team reach objectives * Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively * Proven experience in troubleshooting and solving complex problems * Must demonstrate good communication skills * Must be a highly motivated self-starter, creative, and thorough
