Client is a global advertising service. They are privately held and
profitable. Their development team is located in the Union Square area
of Manhattan.
Their websites are very high traffic (millions of hits per day) and
highly scalable. The environment is casual but they know how to do business.
They are seeking a Web developer who can work on both the front- and
back-end. This person should have 2-6 years experience working on web
based applications and be comfortable working on the whole process.
The role requires:
Minimum of 3-6 years application development experience
Strong OBJECT ORIENTED programming experience in PHP is a must, as well
as SQL programming, some of which with MySQL - which could be from
college or internships (real world a plus).
Also must have front-end development experience including the ability to
write highly complex Ajax, Javascript, CSS, XML, DHTML and HTML.
Some Ruby proficiency would be a big plus.
Other pluses: knowledge of memory caching - experience working on highly
scalable - high-traffic web sites.
Salary 65-95K + bonus
