As their new head of technology, this is your chance to lead a 15 person tech team (front and back end software engineers, dev ops, QA and product managers), and shape their next product offering. REQUIREMENTS: •A minimum of 1-2+ years as an engineering manager for a startup company, leading a minimum of 5 engineers. •6+ years of experience working as an individual contributor in a high-velocity professional software engineering team. •Deep understanding and breadth of open source technologies (PHP, Python) Motivation is more important than experience, though it's nice to demonstrate you can: •Operate at a high level of autonomy •Inspire, manage and foster a team of enormously skilled engineers. •Leverage Agile and Scrum development principles •Strive to improve processes (continuous integration, automated testing & deployment and TDD) •Maintain our start-up spirit of working fast, working smart and delivering high quality products •Understand trade-offs; able to weigh options with different costs, benefits, resources, inherent risks and uncertainty.
