Like Brian, I think this is past the 90/10 point. Nice for completeness,
but of questionable benefit in the "western" chronologies. I don't know
if any of the other chronologies warrant this feature, but I for one
will not miss it if it's not there.

In writing tests for LocalDate I found that we don't have a duration 
field for Era. Is this right?

Era is unlike any other duration field (like years or hours) because it 
has no real estimated length. However, we should be able to add one to 
the era of the date 2006 BC and get 2006 AD.

This has peculiar properties, in that the amount added is small close to

the year zero and large far from the year zero. We could handle this by 
averaging the difference.

So, should we add an eras duration field?
