Like Brian, I think this is past the 90/10 point. Nice for completeness, but of questionable benefit in the "western" chronologies. I don't know if any of the other chronologies warrant this feature, but I for one will not miss it if it's not there.

Is this right? Era is unlike any other duration field (like years or hours) because it has no real estimated length.
