I'm also interested in the DateCalculator, but not exactly as given. My aim is production environments and production time of machines. The problem would be to know the time a machine will be working in the next three days, for example, given that perhaps it's working only one shift in three, or two, and it can have other scheduled stops, perhaps for maintenance, and of course days off when the factory is closed. So the general problem is to put periods of inactivity in the calendar for a machine, and then a) Calculate how many seconds will the machine be working till some date-time. b) We need X seconds of machine to finish an order, know when the order will be finished.
I don't know if the DateCalculator could be easily extended for that, or if a new object would have to be created, but to me, my problem is but a generalization of the one DateCalculator solves.
