Hi all,

Well, now the announcement has been made!

JSR 310, Date and Time API, is an attempt to take the good ideas and
experience of Joda-Time and add it to Java SE.
http://www.jroller.com/page/scolebourne?entry=announcing_jsr_310_date_and.

Clearly, this is a challenge, and I will be looking for feedback and
ideas from all quarters. And that includes all the bright sparks on this
mailing list :-)

The JSR will be run much like the Joda-Time project, with a public
mailing list for anyone to subscribe to - so no need to join the JCP, no
complicated legal forms, just subscribe and make your voice heard!

I'll post to this thread once the list is available to join. In the
meantime, if you've any questions, just ask.

Stephen
