Hello,
The concept of "time of week" (e.g., "Tuesday at 14:30") is a cornerstone of
applications in many industries such as broadcast media (when does Lost
show? how much does time slot X cost?) and transportation (when do trains
depart Millbrae? when should I switch to routing my user on the freeway
because carpool rules take effect?), and doubtless many others.
This is mild plea to accept this as a type in Joda-Time. If there's doubt
over whether it's as important as the others, if nothing else then having it
in Joda-Time will help us to find out its value for sure before finalizing
the JSR!
