GWT enable the developer to create AJAX web user interfaces using only Java , UIs are developed in a fashion similar to SWT or Swing so u can use java IDEs and its debugging tools , other project is a premade component requires the developer to work with HTML, JavaScript, or XML. that is hardly to debug
