Salam Alaikum Ayed I will tell you.
Knowledge is a never ending adventure. The day one thinks he knows is the day he is an ignorant fool. So, to be more practical, I advise you to be really really good at one aspect of Linux and its related technologies and then work on the other aspects. Pick up a goal. A well defined end result and work your way towards it. Then build on that. Acquiring knowledge is an accumulative process. Layering is key. For example, Get a Linux system installed. Have it play nice on a network. Put it online in difference scenarios. Run a web server. Have few online applications served from your box. Learn few programing languages and tinker away with Apps you like. Join Jolug and discuss stuff that interests you. Get on IRC and annoy the various Linux/Apps channels out there. You will not learn anything until you are kicked out of the classiest place on the net few times. Along the way, you will be exposed to so many things and you will be absorbing knowledge if you are open to alternative ways of thinking and willing to do your home work. One day, you will be in a group of people and realize that you know more about the subject at hand than anyone of them. You will be able to support your argument and prove to all present that your word rules. Insha'Allah that day will come. I am sure of it. On that day, I ask you to please please remember that there are a million other topic that you know nothing about. That you still need to listen more, talk less and go do your home work. So to answer you question, "How do you guys do it?" I would say: Slowly. ;) Yours, Abdallah On 2/28/07, Ayed Allawzi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > How long will it take me to get good at Linux, I mean all of you guys are > really really good.
