I'm very surprised. A year ago she didn't even hear of Linux. She saw me use it in the past year and was so impressed that it hardly ever crashes, no data loss from viruses or crashes, and it (kde 3.5.6 + Beryl) actually looks GOOD compared to Redmond. Granted, she's still too afraid of the command line, but i've hidden it from her. Last week I gave her my laptop, and as I was sadly preparing to format it, she literally insisted to keep linux on it! She took the plunge, recustomised KDE, and said "Linux rocks! tell that to JoLUG" ;) This made me wake up again.. I've had 8 full years of not touching or smelling ***ANYTHING*** related to windows, or anything closed source apart from Pixel. It shouldn't stop now.
