Ok .. Let's not start from scratch in creating one, in case there are other modules than the RAID already included in your current image and needed:
copy your current initrd image then mount it: mkdir /tmp/newinitrd mount -o loop /path/to/current.img /tmp/newinitrd then copy your RAID module over: cp /path/to/[raid].[k]o /tmp/newinitrd/lib umount /tmp/newinitrd What we have done now is added the missing driver to the existing image, replace the new one on the CD and try again. Now, in case what you are booting is not using an initrd image to start with (I highly doubt), then let me know we'll go into creating one. Otherwise this should do.
