Yes Jad, all I got from the first command was this:

The package "mysql-server" is manually installed.
The package "mysql-server" is manually installed.

And the output from the second one:

/usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: mysql-server-5.0 is broken or not fully
installed
=====

I knew that my installation is broken or something but I didn't know
how to fix it.
I tried the "fix broken packages" trick in Synaptic, but not even the
"Apply" button becomes active when I choose "fix broken packages".
