Anyone who is responsible for a network of debian-based machines would appreciate apt-cacher since it allows you major (exponential?) cutbacks on bandwidth usage as the size of the network grows.
Having said that, it is really annoying for a laptop user to keep switching back and forth between two different versions of sources.list (one for using the proxy and the other for direct access to the public repos). Therefore, i wrote a little script to automate this task. It runs well, but any suggestions on how to improve it would be appreciated.
