If you want to use M$ products, it is only fair that you pay them for it. Their developers are not slaves in a sweatshop. They deserve to be compensated for their efforts. As a developer myself, I would never want anybody to short change me, on some zealot ideological concept they have in their mind. You want to use M$? use it on their terms. You don't like their terms? don't use it.
