I've only been working with version 2.1. my impression is that it uses the
CLASSPATH to find the jonas.properties file - if you ensure that the "./"
directory is listed first in CLASSPATH I think you can get what you want.

please let me know if my conclusions are wrong

Hello,

since I've changed from JOnAS 1.6.1 to version 2.1 I'm missing the option to
locate the jonas.properties in the directory I start the server. In the
documentation you can read:

    1. $JONAS_ROOT/jonas.properties
    2. $HOME/jonas.properties
    3. ./jonas.properties

I used to let 1 and 2 free and have my file in the directory I start the
server (./) because we want to start more Servers with one Jonas directory
and different configurations... it works fine with 1.6.1, with 2.1 the
server only look in %JONAS_ROOT% for the jonas.properties - why?

Thanks for any help

Best regards,

Juergen Messer
