This may indeed solve the problem. To contact a Jeremie 
registry running on the local machine, either specify the name 
of the machine, or its IP address, or (rather surprisingly) don't 
specify anything at all. For example, "jrmi://" will contact a 
Jeremie registry running on the local machine on the default port 
12340.

In the next version of Jeremie, we'll correct this problem with 
the use of "localhost".
