"Cannot create a new JOnAS container"?

I just wanted to add a new bean jar to JOnAS 2.2.2 running on Windows 98 (Sun JVM 
1.3), and as a result of JonasAdmin's
addbeans command, I got this message after telling JonasAdmin the jar it should use:

admI.addBeans: java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thre
ad; nested exception is:
        java.rmi.RemoteException: cannot create a new JOnAS container

Does anybody have an idea?
