I got turned on to her back in Lubbock in the early 80's. I had only heard
Chuck E's in love on the radio and thought she was kind of squirrelly too. My
good friend Jeff had her album though and we used to lie around getting stoned
and trying to find ourselves and that album was so great. Have you heard the
song "company". Doesn't get any better than that. Was getting over a broken
heart at the time or trying to and that tune would just break my heart all
over again. Jeff used to play Joni all the time too but I didn't think much
of her then but later learned the error of my thinking. But that Rickie Lee,
she takes me away. Try to find the album Girl at her volcano. Hard to find
