The last bit dealt with music (some of it).

This part will cover some of the other stuff. Like
food. And people.

Paz, the shrimps... God, the shrimps! The only
shrimps I've ever eaten were the frozen ones. I like
those, but, after eating those barbecued tender
morsels (hmm, tastes kind of like chicken - doesn't
everything?), I'm not sure if I can settle for the
frozen shrimp ring anymore. I have been totally
spoiled. There is no such thing as TOO MUCH shrimp.

Speaking of Paz, I don't think I even mentioned in my
previous (music) post Miguelito's marvellous singing
and instrumental (keyboards and guitars). This guy
can do EVERYTHING! And, not only Joni, but so many of
my other favourites - Sarah MacLachlan, Dave Matthews,
Jonatha Brooke - and his guitar-playing sounds JUST
LIKE the originals (how he do that?)

And now, coming back to me, is Willie the Shake's
soulful, bluesy guitar and voice.

And Marcel! I forgot Marcel - who could forget Marcel?
Your version of "I think I understand" is very close
to the version I hear *in my head* but which I have
been unable to reproduce myself.

John van Tiel - thank you for saving some chocolates
and cheese for me - they really DO go together, and
not just because they both start with "ch".

Ashara, why do I have this weird feeling I've met you
before? When I met you, it felt like I already knew
you somehow, and it's not just because I've seen
pictures of you. I've been driving myself crazy
since, wondering if you look like someone I know, but
I had the strangest feeling of deja vu when I met you.
I had a bit of that with some of you whose pictures I
had also seen, so I knew when I saw you immediately
who you were - some of you, not all of you - but with
Ashara, it was a really strong feeling of "Don't I
know you?" Not something I've experienced very often
in my life.

Rose from Joisey, thanks for the hugs! Jimmy from
Fla, you really do have a beautiful smile and thanks
too for the hugs and for being with me on stage when
we *tried* to assist in the singing of "Song for
Sharon" (if only some of us could remember the words,
or read the small print on the lyrics page - but Jimmy
did wonderful "Doo doo doos" that soared above the
crowd.

So, when the singing had ended, and the cleaning-up
was done, we all packed up to hit the road for
Ashara's. My trunk laden with a bag of garbage (we
even took the garbage with us, folks), Les from
England in the front seat, Kerry and Steve in the
back, we attempted to locate Ashara's place. Man, was
it dark! This is rural New England, people. You can
actually see stars in the sky! And the moon was full
but still, it was DARK. And none of us knowing where
we're going...

Several wrong turns and turnarounds and roundabouts
later (the Massechusetts road system seems really
strange to me - you can never just go from point A to
point B!), we finally ended up chez Ashara. Again, I
want to thank Les for his navigation skills. Without
you, I wonder where we might have ended up?

Part 4, "The House", coming up sometime soon...
