You tell em Joni...it all comes down the the songs.
There's so much fluff out there. So much big money payola radio promotion,
so many hardbodies posing for MTV, so many CDs of Pepsi commercials
that somewhere THE SONG got lost.
Thankfully there are still those of us (and what a relief to find so many of
you in one place!)
who are still listening for it...not looking at it or drinking it, but
HEARING it. LIVING it.
I can see how the current climate of the beast they call the music business
has driven Joni away from writing. And personally I think she's given life
to a catalog that will
never be matched, and if she never sang another note, her work is so much
more than complete...
