In Leviticus there is even a passage which mentions > the conditions under which it is acceptable to sell one's own daughter into > slavery. Arafat turned them down and brought up the right of return issue which would in essence mean the end of jewish majority in Israel so therefore not acceptable to Israelis as political suicide. Also, did you know that Israel offered to return all the occupied territories to Egypt that were captured during the 67 war right after that war ended in exchange for a recognition by Egypt of the right of Israel to exist but Nasser turned that down too? Just saw that on French TV! Colin, I don't think you're bad either. As I said, I never assumed anybody who disagrees with me was a racist, or I would have to label my own wife and my aunt as such! It's only after I read that "Snakebite" URL that I realized what was really going on: 2 truths, 1 lie (the bigger the lie the better chance of being un-noticed). Hence, the meaning of my last post is that there is an abundance of lies and misinformation going on. It aims at trivializing some issues and words (e.g. antisemitism, holocaust, nazis), even in Israel, so that pretty soon we'll have doctorate thesis on the reality of the Holocaust and such. PS: For those who are interested, Paul Johnson's "The History of the Jews" is a very scientific approach written by a non-Jew. Laurent
