I have a teenager, so I think it's easier to be frank & I think they have a better sense of understanding of these kinds of issues. However, I think that more importantly than what we tell our kids, ultimately what matters is how we LIVE OUR LIVES. If we live in fear, then what we SAY is irrelevant.
