Paz is one of the most generous & peace-loving individuals I have ever had the privledge of meeting. I just needed to say this in public as he someone who does so much to keep the peace, to inspire, to bring people together & he is not deserving of any recent criticism. In spite of the fact that I have in the past received similar private emails (from Marcel) to the one that Debra posted here, I was willing to give Marcel a second chance & meet him in person. This was due to Michael's posts regarding the other side of Marcel. It is true, Marcel does have another side & I am glad I was at this year's Jonifest to experience this in person. I do not understand how someone could be so different in person, in writing about music & then so mean-spirited to certain people in private posts. I experienced both extremes. But since this is a forum of words, the words must be taken into account when making the decision as to whether someone is hurting the culture of this list. Les, I completely support your decision & understand the mixed feelings that you feel about it & know how extremely painful it must have been to decide.
