The 9/11 atrocity was an attack on all of humanity. I wince more than a little these days when I hear large crowds chanting "U-S-A! U-S-A!" Imagine there's no countries ... nothing to kill or die for. If people wanna wave the American flag that's cool, I guess, and it isn't cool to prevent them from doing so, but as for me I'm waving the Earth flag, designed to honor Earth Day in the 1970s, a beautiful photo of the Earth from outer space, set on a dark blue field. That's my "country," the Earth ... one world is big enough for all of us. Music, love, humanity, nature ... that's my church.
We're all born, we all die, we all love, we all cry. It's time to set aside artificial differences of culture, nation, religion, it's time to embrace our common humanity, it's time for all people of Earth to come together ... ... and kill all the motherfuckin' Martians! -Fred
