Wow! I didn't think many people knew of or still remembered the Eloise books! Did you know they were loosely based on Liza Minelli when she was a child (Kay Thomson was Liza's godmother). I had an original Eloise at Christmastime book in almost mint condition that I sold on eBay four years ago for around $400. I know, I know, I felt pretty guilty about selling away a part of my childhood, but think I used the proceeds to go to either the Joni concerts or a Jonifest ;-)
