The very first thing I saw on my TV yesterday morning when I arose at about
5 am was George Harrison's face - since the channel was VH1 I knew instantly
what it meant. I just stood in shock waiting for the coffee to brew.
Although it was not unexpected, I was surprised at how visceral a blow it
turned out to be.

After a melancholy kind of day, I got in my car to go home and flipped on
the classic rock radio station presuming that they would be the ones to be
doing something special, and they were. All weekend they are playing "The
Beatles A-Z". As I drove along listening to "I Saw Her Standing There" and
then "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", the tears came. I just let the tears flow -
I'm not sure who they were for, but I let them come. And strangely I felt
better, and I didn't even care if the other drivers on the road thought I
was stark raving mad. If any of them were listening to the same station,
they understood.
