hi all, this is in response to kate's posting. kate i totally agree with everything you said about joni and sting. both of them are phenomenal in every way. ( looks and the likes...) i do beleive i remember reading once that sting cited joni as an influence. he went on to say that she was reponsible for opening the door for musicians with a jazz influence to the mainstream of pop. i beleive he was quoted as saying that joni was always leading the way for serious pop artists, a step ahead of the pack so to speak. if someone know this to be fact chime in... ( if he didn't say this he should have ! ) also someone mentioned joni concert stories, i saw the tour that resulted in " miles of aisles " in durham , nc ( duke, ) in 1973 and the BSN tour in atlanta in may of 2000.i was suppose to go to the " court and spark " tour in charlotte , nc but for reason that will remain a mystery i was unable to make it. anyway more on the concert stories later, i'm on my lunch hour...
bye, warren keith
