Hi gang, I've been thinking about Anima Rising's lyrics, and I think, impressionistically, I always thought that the male creep in the song was blaming his drinking problem *on* her strength (referring to his empties as *her* "notches" of triumph), when she realizes by the end of the song that it's her strength that makes her *able* to be with/help her man when he "gets weak."
Although I may have gotten to this conclusion from having been the enabler in more than one relationship myself. hugs, walt
