Hello, just popping out of lurk-land for a quick sec.....was listening to "Fresh Air" today on NPR and heard a music review about a singer from L.A. named Julianne (Julianna?) Ray. I was kind of half listening as I made my way through traffic, but perked up when I heard her compared to Joni...the reviewer (alas, I forget his name..) compared her to early Joni Mitchell - before Joni got self-conscious about her lyrics (his comment, not mine!!). IMO, not an accurate description of the Joan's lyrics. Even after that assinine remark, I continued to listen. I really enjoyed what I heard of Ms. Ray. Anyone out there heard of her or her new album? If so, worth purchasing? Just curious.
