The Sun has returned and I thought I might explain Ms Udall's music out her window. the Gorge is about 100 mile valley flanked bt Mount St Helen and Adams on the north and Mt (Lord)Hood to the South. It connects the western coastal valley and the High and dry eastern plateau. During our winter after the Low pressure systems let up a bit the normal prevailing Southwest wind turns around and cold eastern gust rolls down the gorge day and night strong enough to keep every one's red white and blue flags fully unfurled.
