Just finished reading Shadows and Light. While the book is a quick and interesting read, it certainly is not the definitive biography, since Joan, the person, largely eludes O'Brien. Instead we are escorted through Joni's career to date as musician and painter.
This tidbit caught my eye from Appendix One - A Mitchell Miscellany. Joni claims she is a huge fan of San-Francisco based singer-songwriter Mark Eitzel.
