I hadn't realized until last night that I was Joniless so far in 2002. For Christmas I received 2 Joni CD which were replacements for tape or vinyl. Yet another Blue, after 2or 3 on vinyl and 2 on tape - it was time for CD. And I also received Ladies of the Canyon having had only one vinyl and one tape.
As I sat down at the Mac (did you hear that Paz) yes a Mac, to write down my job search history for my unemployment report, I hit the remote for my stereo and out sprung "Morning Morgantown." I remembered putting them in the CD player but not playing them since Christmas. And that beautiful thing happened, I suddenly fell for a song that wasn't always one of my obvious faves. But as soon as the first piano keys twinkled I went limp for "Blue Boy." Especially that one part where Joni's voice kind of crackles (She wakes up and goes to the window ...). The song has been playing in my head for over 24 hours now - I love when I find a new love among so many in Joni's collection. That was my first for 2002. Peace Susan Send FREE video emails in Yahoo!
