Last week I was lucky enough to go to the 'Concert for a Landmine Free World' with amazing collaborative performances by Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Steve Earle, John Prine and Elvis Costello. I was just flicking through the programme and noticed that in Elvis Costello's bio section it says:
"Costello's work appears on...tribute albums for Joni Mitchell, Gram Parsons, Charlie Mingus and Henry Purcell." I guess this is a reference to his version of Edith and the Kingpin on 'A Case of Joni', but it had me excited for a split second. It'd be nice if this mention meant that the album's release is imminent, but I expect it has more to do with whoever wrote the blurb not knowing it hadn't been released.
