Oh, Kakki, you can me to that list -- I had her first few albums years ago. I especially liked Porcelaine -- when I have the bucks, I gotta go out and get that again, and maybe try her new stuff. What a voice. And speaking of voices, I went to the Virgin Superstore to buy some CDRs, vowing not to spend a single sou on *anything* else, but of course I failed at that -- I bought Two Stings (Dream... and Nothing..., both of which I'd had years ago) and Morning Glory: The Tim Buckley Anthology. Re: the TB Anthology, I found I wasn't impressed by the stuff from his first two albums, but starting with the live stuff from 1968, and continuing through Happy Sad, Blue Afternoon, Lorca and Starsailor -- this is great s tuff! Don't know what to make of the stuff from his last two labums, when he got so weird, not even his closest friends and collaborators know what he was up to -- although it was still melodic enough, and I like his voice deepened somewhat. How sad he died the way he did (accidental heroin overdose), while he had so many plans and ideas cooking for future work. Anyway, 33 songs for $32, that was fine with me, and it gave me a good idea of what albums to buy in the future. Thanks to all the people who encouraged me to check him out several months ago. I *do* jot everything down, it just takes me awhile to get around to some things. Warmly, Walt
