Aaahh, yeah, what a guy!!! I, too, was so impressed with his performance at the Joni tribute that I investigated further. And lucky you, Kerry, to be hearing live some of the new songs that will be on his next cd, being recorded this spring. For anyone who's curious about this wonderman, here's a link I found today to an actual performance from his "Mock Tudor" tour. It gives a taste of what he's like in concert, in this case with a band and playing electric guitar. (Alas, there's no Joni performance available.) In his solo shows, it's really amazing to me the rich and complex sounds he gets out of that one beat-up acoustic guitar; it sounds like three people playing. http://www.primeticket.net/shows/richardthompson/ He's also here on the World Cafe, a radio program, playing solo: http://xpn.org/sites/wc/wherenow.mv This requires Windows Media Player, which I don't have, so haven't heard this performance. For all you Jonatha Brooke fans, there's also a Jonatha segment here too. Debra Shea
