I've been rehearsing a cabaret show with a fellow who's become a good friend
and his head is musically very much in the 60s & 70s. We're probably going to
close with "Only Child," so warm and generous in its expressed sentiments
("Take good care of your brother..." )
It was new to me and you all can imagine my bemused rolling of the eyes when
he told me it was by Jackson Browne. I recalled, of course, the many posts to
this list
about him.
As DH Lawrence is said to have abjured: "Don't trust the teller, trust the
tale."
