Breakfast in the Field. Michael Hedges, 1981 Hedges' ground-breaking solo guitar debut, recorded live to 2-track, with no overdubs, no effects. A clean single guitar (that sounds like 2 or 3 at most times). All instrumental. From jumpy to wistful to funky (check out the funky avocado) to frantic to meditative. I sat in my room and turned the LP(!) over and over and knew that the guitar and I would be spending a lot more time together...desert island debut disc for sure.
