Just hanging out here, still unpacking boxes, resorting cd's, hanging up clothes...The mornings are great. When I go to sleep at night I look out this one large window. There's a single bare tree nicely framed in the window so you can see the silhouette in the moonlight. In the distance, the city is dark mostly and hidden by trees but one tall building stands above the trees and, all lit up, provides a pretty skyline to the cool downtown that is Asheville. In the morning, I wake up to the sunlight and the songs of what must be several different kinds of birds, all layered on top of each other, woven together in what would seem to be impossible to duplicate or fashion with musical instruments...indescribably intricate, unworldly, and graceful, songs that can only be of joy and happy things. This must be how people awoke before there was any electricity or annoying sounding alarm clocks. The products I'm working with in the warehouse are quite beautiful. I know that there will be a booth at a show coming up in Cincinnati. I'll try to get a more complete schedule and let you know when one will be in your town. There are leaping frogs, dragonflys, butterflies, ladybugs, praying mantis', frogs on lilypads, spiders on webs, birdbaths with flowered vines woven around the legs, hummingbirds, vines, vines with morning glory flowers, snails, etc...Great for your garden or in the house. It is possible to order directly from the warehouse. If anyone is interested, contact me or call Haw Creek Forge at (828)285-9785. I was able to hook up with Alice Sebrell the other night at an open mic and had a great night, listening to many talented people. I played "Amelia" which seems to really generate a positive response every time I play it. I think alot of people consider it to be one of their favorite songs. I'm finding Asheville to be a very creative, positive, and spiritual place.
