It was pretty moving coming into NYC yesterday...I told Stephen & Rusty I felt like Joe Buck (from Midnight Cowboy, my fave film) except that thankfully I flew in instead of taking a Greyhound.
We had a great dinner last night, previewed some of the upcoming covers volumes (Stephen has been a huge supporter of this project since day one) and is a total junkie like me. We were in a couple of Bleecker St. record shops trying to find some new ones, but no luck yet. We did find a Debby Boone LP with a "California" on it, but the odds of it being Joni's were pretty obscure, and even at $2.99 we didn't take the chance. Anyway, the weather is perfect, NYC is a totally mesmerizing city. This afternoon we go see the Crucible with Laura Linney & Liam Neeson, with a meet and greet with Ms. Linney already set up. I'm already getting nervous! Sorry to use the list for a "diary" entry, but it is only through this group...Joni, Wally, Les, Stephen, etc. that these wonderful things are happening for me. I am truly and sincerely grateful for these friendships. Bob NP: Christine Sullivan, "Be Cool"
